Bucket Lists - 2024

Each year I put together an annual bucket list of things I would like to do throughout the year. The exercise makes it easier to capture the joy of being a kid again and makes it easier to nurture a sense of curiosity.

2024’s Guiding Why

  • Maximize optionality. Live a life where I can focus on family, fitness, and work when and how I want.

Overarching Theme and Focus

  • Limit work, maximize health, family, and income
  • Provide amazing value for LC Design customers
  • Cut the non-essential

What is an ideal day in 2024?

  • Getting up early, going for a trail run, working for a few hours and then spending the rest of the day with family.

Food

  • Make Limoncello
  • Make Moroccan Rghaif
  • Make home made pasta
  • Make Roman flatbread pizza street food
  • Make Detroit style pizza
  • Dehydrate oranges and lemons for drinks
  • Make Cherry Pie with cherries from farm
  • Make a Tagine
  • Make authentic ramen
  • Make miso soup
  • Make wooden espresso board
  • Make zatar spice
  • Make other middle eastern bakery items
  • Make Croissants

Friends & Family

  • Take kiddo to flight museum in San Martin
  • Take kiddo to Mt Hamilton and Lick Observatory
  • Take friends to Bear Valley
  • Go on a ski trip with John and Katie
  • Attend Sea Otter Classic again
  • Move to Oregon
  • Finish bike park
  • Teach kiddo how to ski [in progress]
  • Go for a run with my dad in Point Reyes
  • Build a wheelie box

  • Make children’s book using AI

Outdoors & Fitness

  • Run Mt Diablo
  • Complete ultra

  • Ski granite area off of Koala access road
  • Ski Osborne Ridge
  • Go snowmobiling in powder
  • Snowmobile to Lake Alpine
  • Run 100 miles of the Bay Area Ridge Trail
  • Bike the Flow trail in Santa Cruz again
  • Bike the Brail trail in Santa Cruz
  • Buy a gravel bike
  • Take pack raft to Pajaro River and ocean
  • Get a flat stomach or six pack - “Once a Runner” fit
  • Complete a running or bike race in Santa Barbara

Travel

  • Visit San Francisco
  • Visit San Luis Obispo
  • Visit Pinnacles
  • Visit Big Sur
  • Visit Calaveras Dome
  • Visit Half Moon Bay
  • Visit Yosemite
  • Visit white deer at mt Madonna
  • Visit Monterey and run along coast
  • Take a train-based vacation (maybe Bend to Portland)

Giving Back
